CORUM Malaysia Launches Ipoh Chapter to Empower Cancer Survivors

CORUM Malaysia officially launched its Ipoh Chapter at the Royal Perak Club, bringing together cancer survivors, medical professionals, and community leaders for an inspiring evening of connection and community engagement.

The event began with a welcome speech by Dr. Elaine, followed by a presentation from the CORUM Secretary detailing the organization’s vision and mission for the year. A highlight of the ceremony was when Dato’ Dr. Mehesh presented the Perak Chapter certification to Dr. Elaine, head of the Colorectal Department at Hospital Raja Perempuan Bainun, Ipoh.

The launch also featured a community dialogue session with patients and a heartfelt sharing session with survivors and medical personnel from Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur. Attendees enjoyed interactive activities, laughter, and camaraderie, culminating in a group dinner.

The Ipoh Chapter demonstrated a strong spirit of collaboration and commitment, supporting cancer survivors to regain strength and look forward to life with optimism.

Perak becomes CORUM Malaysia’s second chapter, following Melaka. Plans are underway to expand to Terengganu, Kelantan, and northern states, with the goal of establishing a chapter in every Malaysian state.
